Veg Cities is a feature campaign of Sustainable Food Cities.
We should all be eating 3.5 portions of vegetables a day but 80% of children, 95% of teenagers are not reaching that target, people on lower incomes eat half a portion less. A lot of action has been happening in schools to increase the amount of vegetables children eat to reverse these figures. In this Sustainable Food Cities webinar we heard from organisations and caterers doing work to improve schools meal uptake, reduce the amount of vegetables being wasted and implement a whole school approach to food.
