Newry, Mourne and Down Food Partnership incorporates the Mourne Mountains AONB and an Irish Sea coastline stretching from Strangford Lough to Carlingford Lough.

We are committed to developing a Strategic and Collaborative Approach to Good Food Governance and Action through Sustainable Food Places.

Our Vision is ‘An area recognised and celebrated for sustainable food produced from sea, coast, mountains, farms and gardens’.

Equal access for everyone to sustainable, healthy and adequate food

An abundance of successful sustainable food businesses, a sustainable Food Tourism product, where our markets promote our local producers

Sustainable supply chains which protect our environment and biodiversity, combat climate change, and improve the health and quality of life of our citizens  

Our Partnership germinated during the COVID 19 pandemic as we realised the fragility of our existing food structures and was fertilised by the SFP Development Grant.

Our Chair is Sheena McEldowney, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
