The Brent Food Partnership is a newly formed network, currently in the process of getting fully established. Our members come from a wide range of sectors, including voluntary and community organisations, local government, businesses, and other local groups. We believe that good food is essential for a high quality of life.
Our main goals are to support the creation of a local food system that is healthy, sustainable, and fair. We want everyone in Brent to have access to healthy, tasty, and affordable food that is also good for the environment and boosts our local economy.
We understand that food is at the core of many social, economic, and environmental challenges, but we also see it as a key part of the solution. Our activities are guided and supported by the Brent Health and Wellbeing Board, ensuring we stay on track and aligned with broader community needs.
The Brent Food Partnership was created to unite various stakeholders who are passionate about transforming our local food scene. By working together, we aim to drive positive change and improve the food landscape for everyone in our community.
We are currently looking for new members to join our growing network. If you’re passionate about transforming Brent’s food landscape, please email FoodPartnership@brent.gov.uk to get involved.
Last year, we successfully organised a food visioning workshop and food outreach event. These initiatives were crucial in setting our initial priorities for developing Brent’s first comprehensive food strategy.
As we move forward with this strategy, we want to hear from you! If you are working on any food-related projects or initiatives, please share your activities with us through our survey. Your input will help us create a vibrant and inclusive food system in Brent. Participate in the survey using this link: https://forms.office.com/e/8HasJ0jXcA
