We are Borders Food Forum & we want to change our food system in the Borders so it’s accessible, healthy and sustainable for everyone who lives here -tackling food poverty, diet related ill-health & improving access to affordable healthy food.
We have come together with a shared vision to create a sustainable and inclusive food system in the Borders, enhancing community resilience and well-being.
Our aim is to strengthen the collective impact of our organizations by amplifying our voices, sharing skills and resources, and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including farmers and food businesses.
By understanding community needs and aspirations, we seek to define what ‘good food’ means for our region and promote access to nutritious food for all.
Our partnership will serve as a platform for co-creating a regional food plan, enhancing communication, avoiding duplication of efforts, and ultimately getting more nutritious food on the tables of our communities.
Together, we will build a Food Forum, facilitating connections, sharing information, and promoting specific actions that benefit everyone involved.
Through collaboration, we will not only support grassroots initiatives but also expand our reach and create a vibrant regional food identity.
