The first West Cheshire Food Summit is taking place at Hoole Community Centre from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Tuesday 18 July, bringing together the work of the Welcome Network, Cheshire West Voluntary Action, Cheshire West and Chester Council, and national networks Sustainable Food Places and Feeding Britain.
This event is a chance to pause and reflect on the fantastic work going on around food, as well as plan together for the future.
It is set to be an inspiring day, aiming to build a movement of people and organisations who all want to play a role in the vision of: “Everyone in west Cheshire has access to affordable, healthy, sustainable and enjoyable food”.
There will be conversations and workshops covering a range of topics, including food poverty, food waste, growing food, food and climate, health and food and Ageing Well.
The summit is for anyone interested in food, whether you’re based in your kitchen, garden, allotment, field or farm, a business, community organisation, an organisation supporting people or all of the above.
Lunch is included for anyone attending the event and you can let us know about any dietary requirements you have when booking.
